We love your "MATT BECK: Anything Which Gives You Pleasure" CD so
much that we're going to feature it on the CD Baby front page for a
day, and in our Editor's Picks section from now on.

We're *really* picky about what we feature. We receive about 300 new
albums a DAY, (over 300,000 total), and yours is one of the best we've
ever heard.

OUR REVIEW (Feel free to quote it anywhere!)
This man knows his melodies. Sounding (in the best, non-derivative
ways) like Aimee Mann, Crowded House, and George Harrison, Matt Beck
has made a really sweet album of melodic pop/rock. Packed with hooks
and tasty guitar solos, like the brief slide guitar parts on "Wasted
and Wanting," most of these songs sound perfect for AAA radio. This
should come as no surprise to his fans, who know him from his work
with Matchbox Twenty, Rod Stewart and Lisa Loeb, and yes, he's that
good and professional. Other songs are more in the piano pop milieu,
like the effervescent "Blessing in Disguise," the 6/8 ballad "Shelter
Me," and the electric piano rocker, "West 70 Breakdown," which turns
into something like an early 90s REM song. There's a lot to love about
this album, not the least of which is Beck's voice, which is singular
and strong, and becomes altogether captivating when he adds layers of
doubled melodies and harmonies, as many of the songs feature.

As you can see its a pretty impressive email considering his CD just went online this week.
